Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, Andy and his twin brother have been fixtures in the Bay Area cycling scene for years now. Andy started racing at the tender age of 9, taking in all disciplines from road, to mountain, to cyclocross by the age of 20. His cycling career hit its apex in 2001 when he turned professional on the dirt in 2001. He followed this up with his first professional road racing gig in 2003. A three-time member of the US Natioanl Cyclocross team, Andy has raced extensively in Europe and has competed in several world championships in cyclocross. Off the bike, Andy graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 and currently works as an engineer at Specialized.
