A former mountain biker and now a young road racer with great potential, Bernard demonstrated a knack for excelling in both criteriums and time trials in 2004. After finishing up his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UCLA, Bernard joined the team full-time in late June and never looked back. His aggressive riding and propensity for being in the right place at the right time makes him indispensable for the team's success in 2005. Bernard spends time enjoying life either backpacking or snowboarding when he isn't studying or cycling and is looking forward to following his cycling dreams before pursuing a career in biotechnology.
