Some might say that cycling is in Erinne’s blood.  Erinne’s father, Martin Willock, was a tenacious Canadian Olympic cyclist himself.  From the very first day Erinne could ride a two-wheeler at the age of 3 Martin had Erinne race her sister’s around the yard.  Their times were posted on his workshop door for the girl’s to compare.  As one would surely conclude Erinne excelled right from the start.

Born and raised in Victoria, B.C. Erinne Willock moved her racing career from the back yard to the local high school cycling series at age 14. For the first four years she tried track cycling, mountain bike x-country, and road cycling.  When she moved into the senior women's category she decided to focus solely on the road, because of the mountainous stage races and dynamic tactics that suit her strengths perfectly.  Erinne hasn't looked back since.  Finishing her 9th year of competition, Erinne has become a mainstay on the Canadian National Road Cycling Team, as well as the professional trade teams.  She trains at the Pacific Sport National Cycling Centre in Victoria under the direction of National Team coach Houshang Amiri.

Erinne Willock's total dedication to the sport is matched by her other achievements.  She is currently into her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Physical Education degree at the University of Victoria. Teaching and coaching are a natural fit for Erinne, and she spends most of her time off of the bike sharing her experience with kids and those new to the sport of cycling.

Erinne finished 3rd in the 2004 Canadian National Road Championships.  In Pennsylvania, she placed 3rd in General Classification at The International Tour de Toona and she also wrapped up the Nature Valley Stage Race as the Best Young Rider Under 26 and 4th in General Classification.  In 2003 she competed at the World Championships on the Canadian National Team finishing 44th in the world.  At the 2004 World Champioships she was in the only seriously threatening breakaway that got caught with only one lap to go. Her ultimate goal is being a world champion and competing in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
