Top reason for joining Webcor: They’re the best. I have a huge respect for the team members and management.

Tell us about your background and goals – both on and off the bike?
Originally from a little village in the English Cotswolds, I moved to California in 1992 from Sydney with future husband, Chris. I was introduced to mountain biking and with a dodgy old bike, and some even dodgier attire, I took up racing in the hope to win some “better gear." Fortunately that’s what happened, and within a few months, I found myself on the British roster for the 1993 World Mountain Bike Championships in Metabief, where I finished 51/200. However, dreams to become a professional mountain biker were stopped after suffering an injury to my knees early the next season. Unable to ride a bike without re-injury, I changed my focus to a photographic business, setting up a commercial studio in San Francisco. In 2002 I decided to give up photography to have more time for family. With time on my hands, I started to gradually ride a bike again, this time focusing on the road, as it was kinder to knees. I entered and won the first race at the end of ’02 and once again dared to dream of being a bike racer.

Since then I have completed four racing seasons with 2006 resulting in several top 10 national finishes, including 7th at the US elite Time Trial championships and 6th in GC at Cascade. I look forward to the challenge of supporting the new Webcor Builders team in 2007.

I live in the hills above Woodside with my husband, two daughters, and dogs – Monkey and Mojo. Other interests include snowboarding, cross country skiing and architecture.
