How do you Go Green?
Reuse, recycle, and reduce!! I am addicted to turning off lights after leaving a room, and using lights minimally. I only use the dryer when I have to. I would much rather air dry than listen to the dryer going for hours. I am lucky enough (also by choice) to live in an area where I can walk to all my grocery shopping. Minimal, if any, driving is required. I use home heating as little as possible. I would rather wear sweaters and big ol “ugg boots” to keep warm.  (My roommates complain that the house is cold when they are wearing short-sleeved shirts… I say put on a sweater!!!)

April 19, 2008: We are very happy to announce that Gina Grain (CAN) has officially secured herself a spot in the Olympic Points Race on the track in Beijing. She is Webcor's first Olympian of 2008!

Track cycling has become a winter sport in recent years, and while most road racers were enjoying their off season this winter, Gina was on a global UCI points chase on the velodromes of the world that took her to Australia, Europe, China, and North America. She had the dual task of both qualifying Canada as a country in the Points Race, and also qualifying herself. The final selection race was the track World Championships in Manchester where she raced only days before Redlands.

With the immediate pressure of her own selection over, Gina can now focus on helping her Webcor teammates qualify for the Olympic Road Race in the upcoming races we will do in Europe.
