I started riding nine years ago in Montréal just for fun and soon started racing and I have not stopped since. I realized I was pretty good when I started beating all the boys in the neighborhoods. My ultimate goal is to represent Canada at the 2012 games. Having grown up in Quebec and speaking French as a first language, it is always a challenge for me to be surrounded by Anglophones.

On May 9, 2010 Joelle earned a silver medal in the PanAmerican Championship road race in Aguascalientas, Mexico, racing for Canada. The race finished in a field sprint and was won by Shelley Evans of the USA.
