Introducing the 2010 Team - Meet Joelle Numainville

Joelle Numainville in Chicago Criterium Jersey Joelle action shop How do you Go Green? I take the bus to University every day.

I started riding nine years ago in Montréal just for fun and soon started racing and I have not stopped since. I realized I was pretty good when I started beating all the boys in the neighborhoods. My ultimate goal is to represent Canada at the 2012 games.   Having grown up in Quebec and speaking French as a first language, it is always a challenge for me to be surrounded by Anglophones.

Top results of 2009:
1. Montreal World Cup, 16th
2. Canadian National Under-23 Road Race Championship, 1st
3. Trophée d’or Stage 4, 1st
4. Pan-American Championship, 1st
5. Trophée d’or, 5th Overall

Top career results:
1. Canadian Junior National Road and Time Trial Champion, 2005

On May 9, 2010 Joelle earned a silver medal in the PanAmerican Championship road race in Aguascalientas, Mexico, racing for Canada. The race finished in a field sprint and was won by Shelley Evans of the USA.
