How We GoGreen at Home

Diecteur Sportif Karen Brems recycles the cardboard boxes that our equipment comes in; we are all part of the problem and the solution Directeur Sportif Karen Brems recycles the cardboard boxes that our equipment comes in
  1. Do laundry during non-peak energy usage hours.
  2. Run washer/dryer and dish washer will full loads.
  3. Turn off all lights and appliances when not in use to reduce energy consumption.
  4. Reuse plastic cottage cheese (or other) containers from the grocery store as tupperware.
  5. Place a brick in toilet water tank to reduce water use.
  6. Print double sided.
  7. Recycle everything that you can using your city curbside recycling program; take other recyclable items to your local recycling center.
  8. Line dry cycling clothes instead of putting them in the dryer (makes your shorts last longer too!).
  9. Compost all fruit and vegetable kitchen scraps.
  10. Recycle and/or reuse boxes and packing materials.
  11. Set the thermostat automatically to 62 during the day when home, and 50 at night; wear a sweater instead of turning up the heat.
  12. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs; they save energy and money.
  13. Install dual pane windows to use less heat.
  14. Use drip irrigation in the yard to use less water.
  15. Reuse old innertubes to tie up plants and stake young trees in the yard. They make great bungee cords too.
