John is a versatile road and break-away sprinter, who joins the Webcor Builders team for 2004. In addition to his speed, he offers the team a wealth of experience and leadership that he has gained during his seven years of professional racing.

John's racing career started at the age of 12, when he began racing his BMX bike. After years of regional BMX racing, he was introduced to road racing by his co-workers at a local bike shop, and entered his first road race at the age of 21. He has continued racing, "because it's my passion. I like the healthy lifestyle and the competition." John's favorite race is the U.S. Pro Road Championships in Philadelphia due to the dynamic course and grand scale of the event.

John likes to spend his free time hiking, mountain biking, downhill skiing, and shifter-cart racing. He lives in Santa Rosa, California with his girlfriend, Brenda.
