Webcor Dominates Univest GP!

The Webcor Cycling Team dominated a strong field in the Univest Grand Prix, with Ted taking an brilliant solo victory in downtown Souderton, PA, James taking 2nd in the KOM competition, and the team taking 1st in the important team competition.

The Univest GP is the top pro-am event in the country, and draws a top-notch field every year including teams from France, Belgium, Holland, Canada, as well as top teams from the U.S.

Webcor played an active role in the racing throughout the day, with James launching a blistering attack up the Aichele Road KOM to split the field. Ted and Lio joined this group shortly and raced perfectly to cover every attack before launching Ted to a solo victory with only three miles left to race.

The Webcor Cycling Team put in an impressive performance at the 2003 T-Mobile International. Racing with some of the top division 1 professional team in the world, Webcor placed three riders in the final moves with Ted placing 12th, James 21st, and Marc 31st.

The Webcor team were an active part of the moves all day with Mike Taylor making the first attack of the day, which was followed by a solo break from Lionel. Darren, Greg, and Dario were also active at the front covering breaks throughout the day.

In the finale, James covered a dangerous final lap split instigated by two-time Giro di Italia winner Gilberto Simoni. This set up Ted to take a fine 12th place in the final sprint.
